Meet Mrs. Baughman
Our third and fourth grades teacher, Janelle Baughman, grew up in Michigan where her family still resides. She attended Tri-City Adventist Elementary School and Great Lakes Adventist Academy. Mrs. Baughman graduated from Southern Adventist University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a minor in Education and then completed her teaching certification through the Southern Union. Currently she is working on her Masters in Education with an emphasis in Literacy at Southern Adventist University.

Mrs. Baughman has been teaching at Highland Elementary since 2006. "I feel truly blessed to be at Highland and have the opportunity to work with such imaginative kids. I enjoy teaching
and letting God use me as His instrument to show His love, grace and creativity to my class."
Mrs. Baughman and her husband enjoy being involved with their church family at the Highland Seventh-day Adventist Church. Her husband, Steve Baughman, teaches English and History at Highland Academy. The newest addition to the Baughman family is there son, Milo who has been occupying most of their time.  They also have two spoiled dogs, Marley and Gatsby. Mrs. Baughman also likes to dig in her garden, read, and backpack when time allows.
